An ideal setting for learning English
Paignton
In a quiet residential area, just a short walk from the beach and the park, the Devon School of English has been providing high quality English tuition for over 40 years. Its two Victorian buildings - the red stone Old Vicarage and The Glendale - have been lovingly adapted to house 19 bright and appealing classrooms, 2 student common rooms, coffee bars, computer rooms and a self-access library. Outside, mature trees and hedges envelop the schools’ private gardens and patios, attractive places to sit and talk with new friends or peaceful places to read and reflect. Here is a short film about our schools in Paignton.
Taunton
Queen’s College is a magnificent Victorian school building just 10 minutes walk from the market town of Taunton in Somerset. Its grand halls, staircases, oak-panelled corridors and grey stone turrets evoke the story book school settings of Harry Potter. Queen’s College has superb sports and leisure facilities: a swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, football and cricket pitches, athletics running track, a cinema, a theatre and a performing arts space for music and dance. The large classrooms, activity rooms and computer rooms give the teachers lots of scope for their lessons. And for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we are sure you will love the grand old dining hall with its long wooden tables and huge windows. The residential parts of the school have pleasant, well-appointed single, twin and dormitory rooms. There are also common rooms with TVs, pool tables and computers.
